Kings no better than Wharf Rats

Riots delayed what otherwise proved to be an exciting match-up between the Osgoode Kings and the Sin City Wharf Rats. 44,000 excited Bloodbowl fans turned out at Robin Hood Bay Field under clear blue skies. The referees were keeping a close eye on the game, but it didn't matter as the Osgoode coach offered a 'No Fouls' game which Grey Seer S'Legg accepted on behalf of his ailing team.

Sin City won the toss and elected to receive. Right before the kick is when the first riot happened. Play was delayed while stadium officials regained control.

When play resumed, it resumed with a bang. Slimy (#10) of the Kings killed Tisqueek Blodge (#14) with a tremendous hit that left fans in stunned silence... followed by thunderous applause. Sin City apothecary Vilebroth Null ignored the death of the lineman and play continued after the corpse was removed.

Osgoode surged toward the Skaven endzone after knocking over the ball carrier and a TD seemed all but certain. However, the rats managed to knock the ball loose again and Slitha Verminkin (#7) picked it up. Surrounded by Kings players, he somehow managed to throw an accurate long pass to fellow Runner, Skreequal Gazat. Verminkin would pay for making the play as he was blind-sided by Rocky (#3) of the Kings. Gazat ran in for the easy score to put the Rats up 1-0.

Although he was not seriously injured, Verminkin was unable to play the remainder of the game.

Sin City kicked to the Kings and Sneaky (#1) snatched up the ball firing a quick pass to teammate Lemmy (#4). Clearing the way, Lanny (#5) pushed Sin City StormVermin Skritt Bloodthirster(#2) into the crowd. Eager for carnage the crowd proceeded to savagely beat on Bloodthirster, seriously injuring him. Now is when Vilebroth appeared from the dugout to avert the injury [***Note: I rolled a 1 and had to reroll it***]

The half would end with the Skaven up by a point, but kicking to Osgoode.

The second half saw more of the same for the rats as Osgoode again pummeled them mercilessly. This time the unwilling victim was Lineman Chang Squik (#15) who suffered a Fractured Leg at the hands of Nasty (#9). Squik is expected to be out for a game.

Not to be outdone, Nasty's teammate Stinky(#8) would kill Noi Klisqueek (#12), clearing the way for Lemmy to run in the touchdown.

On the ensuing kick, the second riot occurred. Play was again delayed as order was restored.

When it did resume, Stormvermin Tzarkual Skab (#9) threw a short pass to Gazat. Gazat was subsequently hit, and the Osgoode player (#1) picked up the ball and completed a quick pass to Lemmy.

The game would end in a 1 all tie.

When asked apparent nonexistence to Skritt Bloodthirster who was expected to contribute casualties, Grey Seer S'Legg had this to say, "Skritt will kill-kill. You will see. Silly human-things. You will see. Next-Next game."
